The front cover had been bent and worn. The book came in decent time but the condition of the book was not that good.
The part of the story where Shondra goes out on a date with that football player was so funny to me. I guess she was too busy doing other things. I finished the book in a day. The only problem I had was that she didn't spend too much time looking for clues to her father's death. I wanna go to Monte Carlo. I like the chemistry between Shondra and Conner.HOT. Maybe Shondra's friend Lisa should have her story told since she's trying to find herself.
Shondra does not know that CJ is actually the son of the head of Stewart Industries and CJ does not know that Shondra is at Stewart snooping around. Then CJ when he discovers who Shondra really is has to come to terms as to why Shondra was misleading in the beginning and if there can really be in trust between them. Also, as their relationship develops, it does not matter that it is an interracial relationship. They learn that true love covers all faults and breaks through any color barrier, as well as forgives. Shondra goes undercover at the last place their father telephoned -- Stewart Industries. Robyn Amos' "Sex and the Single Braddock" is the second book (#2) in the series: The Braddocks: Secret Son. This time it is Shondra Braddock's story of love, danger and intrigue that surrounds the Braddock family. While acting on her own, Shondra meets "CJ" who she thinks is just another worker.
Neither know the other's true identity. All in all, Shondra Braddock and Connor Stewart are two adults who have a mind of their own as well as feelings of their own. There are many obstacles in their relationship. "Sex and the Single Braddock" is a powerful love story of trust and understanding between two determined people who will let nothing or no one get in their way of their feelings for each other.A great read Robyn Amos. Also, she has to come face to face with the CEO and CJs dad, a man who is not too thrilled about Shondra's and CJ's relationship either. Shondra and CJ hit it off at the start. Shondra has to deal with how her brothers, Malcolm and Ty will react when they discover she is not only dating outside her race, but dating the company's head man's son, someone who is next in line for the CEO position. Shondra is on a mission, as are the other Braddocks, to discover if their father, Senator Braddock's death was indeed murder instead of an accident.
Shondra is out for a little fun and CJ begin to think about putting away his playboy ways when they actually start to get serious about one another. Later, they began seeing one another. Shondra wants to discover if Senator Braddock had ties to someone at Stewart's and if that person knew anything about his death that could shed light on the mystery. Sparks ignite when they accidentally touch one another.
Good continuation of the Braddock saga. The Braddock soap opera continues, btw this series would make good tv.Harlequin/Kimani for once gets a decent well written IR romance book without any major angst about colour, more about the fact ist an office romance between employer - Conner James Stewart and employee Shondra Braddock. The heroine meets her match with megarich, playboy who happens to be her boss Connor Stewart. He also meets his match in finding himself attracted to Shondra beyond just wanting to bed her.
Definitely worth having in your Brenda Jackson collection. This book by Brenda Jackson is an interracial romance that is beautifully written. Erotic sex scenes, excellent storyline, and part of a series of books about the Braddocks.
